Claudia Chopek is a New York City based violinist, violist and arranger. Equally at home on stage and in the studio, she has performed live with Bruce Springsteen, Moby, Peter Moren (Peter, Bjorn and John), Donna Summer, Dave Stewart, Jesse Malin, Joe McGinty's Loser's Lounge, Connie Francis, Josh Groban, Il Divo and Bettye Lavette and has appeared on recordings by TV on the Radio, Norah Jones, Nancy Sinatra, Ryan Adams, The Ladybug Transistor and Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger. She was a featured performer at the wedding of Chelsea Clinton in 2009 and was a guest performer with comedian Sarah Silverman at the 2007 New York Comedy Festival at Carnegie Hall.
In 2009, Claudia was asked to join Moby on his North American tour and has performed with him throughout the US ever since. Other tours include The Jonas Brothers, Vince Gill and Amy Grant, Vienna Teng, Hem and the first national tour of the Broadway show Little Women.
As an arranger, Claudia has written for TV On The Radio, Moby, Mike Viola and The Headset as well as local artists Ward White, Sam Bisbee and Jodi Shaw.
Broadway credits include The Lion King and Everyday Rapture.
She can be heard in the HBO series "Bored To Death", PBS' "Sesame Street", in commercials for Mastercard and Delta, as well as the 2010 Academy Award winning short film "The New Tennants" as violinist and arranger. She has also appeared on television performing on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" with Joe Scarborough, in 2 episodes of "Gossip Girl" and in the films "El Cantante" and "The Jonas Brothers 3D Concert Experience".
She is the founding member of New Retro Strings and an L.R. Baggs endorsed artist.
